About

Hi, my name is Kirsten McCain. Little Isaac was born to me and my husband Branon on Feb. 5, 2013. He is the absolute joy of our life, but being first time parents has proven to have many obstacles along the way, such as not knowing how to breastfeed, finding reliable & loving child care, & coming up with all the diapers, wipes, and other necessities to a name a few.

One day I randomly decided to start writing companies and asking for coupons and most all of them wrote back and said, “Sorry, we don’t have any available to send on request.” But one company replied, “We are pleased to inform you that we have an online grant application.” Turns out it was for non profit organizations, not individuals. Because of this, I said to myself, “I can start a nonprofit that helps first time families and others in need.”

So this is a blog about the process of getting all the pieces into place. I want people to be aware of what I’m striving to accomplish in order to start forming a community of supporters.

It’s a fairly slow process at the moment; Branon is currently in a year long Christian rehab overcoming drug addiction. It’s a really hard time for both of us, but our Abba is with us every step of the way. I hope to provide encouragement by sharing our struggles & victories!

I’d love to have any suggestions from parents and nonparents, believers and nonbelievers, alike to make this non-profit as best as it can possibly be. I’d also love to hear your stories!

Don’t forget to follow me by email to keep up with my progress (and to stay up to date with the cute pictures and videos of Isaac!)
